Hi friends

new beat! Something more uptempo. It’s called dP08, don’t ask me why but I made it using all new features in ableton 7 being: wave to midi cutting and the 3 new instruments: Electric, Tension and Analog. I also threw in an FM7 and an ARP2600 and a spooky ableton background noise

Hello my loyal musiclovers,

it’s been a while again, I know, but don’t be too dissappointed because I have two beats for you today.

Yes indeed, the first one is called Kubol. Pretty much a hiphopbeat made with some bad ass sounding synths. I used an ms-20 and a moog modular for the sounds and basses. Battery on the drums and Bob Moog on the sample. It’s not completely finished i should add, the basics are there but i needs effects

Kubol

Second beat is something of an experiment. It’s called SummerPine and I tried to create some soul-like sounding drums for it. I used Battery on the drums, Vanguard on the synth and a whole bunch of tuned samples i got out of various other tracks. Just like the previous track it’s not completly finished but I’m planning to really putting some effort in this one. I like the style and the tempo. What says you chuck?

Been a whole while since I posted something here, but don’t despair, I’m still making tracks for the fun of it!

I’ve been trying all kinds of music lately, been listening to a lot of Daft Punk so here’s a kind of electro-ish track called Molectro. I used a Moog, a BassStation, another Moog and a WaveStation for the electonic sounds and basses and a pair of Batteries for the drum.

I used another alter ego for this type of music, call me Captin K|RK

Should I go back to hiphop of keep at this for a while? Let me know.

Much respect to the men who play the drums…

Howdi ho campers,

back once more to bring you a brand new track called DrummyLoops. I made this entire beat with only drumloops, some I made myself, some I found in the crates. I added some beatbox sounds and loops too and a bunch of samples to finish it all up.

Mostly made with Battery 3 and some ableton impulses. I ran it trough a powerfull compressor (courtesy of LiquidMix) when I rendered it to give it a warm tube like sound.

Enjoy

Howdi folks

back once more with this time something really fresh! I decided to try something else than hiphop beats and turned to something … faster. It’s a try out, I mashed it up with some SouthPark samples for the fun of it.

I used many drumloops for this one, some of them of homemade with Battery. I used all kinds of samples like beatbox loops and old drum sounds, also some synths like the FM7 combined with this great free filter called dbBlue Glitch.

I hope you people like it

Lance Vance Biatch!

Howdi rangers,

it’s been a while but here’s a brand new track called Lance Vance. For those of you who played GTA Vice City, you might remember him as Tommy’s accomplice. I added some samples their voices to finish it all up.

I made this beat almost entirely with samples, many people make beats this way because you can get a nice sounding tune fast. In my opinion the real art in making music and beats is composing your own sounds and try to make them sound good together rather than digging in the crates for samples, no disrespect to the great offcourse (Shadow, Madlib, …). I can’t deny it is fun to take some sounds from different sources and put them together and make something new out of it.

The drums are made up out of a drumloop-sample combined with a Battery drumline. I played the piano sounds myself using an NI Electrik Piano and my Axiom 25. For the choir sounds I used an M-Tron synth.

Enjoy!

Howdi ho

us Belgians had to go vote some time ago, I started making this beat on that day. It has a lot of bass you see…

I used all different synths like the the NI pro 52fx, MS-20 and an analog microKorg. I also used Absynth 3 for the phat guitar sounds. All added up with Bugs Bunny samples and a Bugs Bunny scratch (courtesy of my brothers brand new Serato).

Hello peoples

here’s the new beat, it’s more like a remix of a theme song from the movie Requiem For A Dream (yes again that movie). The original song is called Lux so this is ReLux Aeterna. Specially for my peoples at Peace, enjoy!

I used only an extra bass and a Battery drum, the samples take up all the sound so I didn’t add much so I wouldn’t over do it.

Hello there

it’s been a while since I posted a beat, that’s because I’ve been really busy and I haven’t had to much time to produce. But have no fear because here I am again with a fresh one called Stage Electrofonique. I made this beat over a period of 6 weeks during the time I was working at a webagency called Netlash. Just like with my work you can hear the song evolving in various ways towards a climax, this represents the progress I made during the weeks I worked there and the various new things I have picked up.

I used all kinds of synthesizers for this beat like the WaveStation , the Absynth 3.0, the MS-20 for the fat baseline and an FM7 for various sounds. The drum is made with Battery 3 and added with a Live Impulse. I used several different filters for effects and cuts like OhmBoys, HemotOhm, Waves C1 compressor and several default Live plugins.

More coming soon!
