Thesis Drama ft. the Pink Panther

Two weeks ago I handed in my thesis, a 30-page essay about a multimedia-subject (XML). Writing the essay and researching took so much energy and frustration I made a beat to express my feelings and share them with you, my fellow beatbloggin’ peoples all over the galaxy.

This one is called Thesis Inspector and was made with several Edirol Orchestral violins and brasses. The drum is once again a Battery/OhmBoyz combination added with several drumloops. All melodies played by me on the Axiom.

Hello peeps

nothing big, just got myself a new headphone. It’s a Sennheiser HD205. I’m testing it now, listening to all kinds of music and I’m pretty pleased with the sound. Not to much bass like my old one. I’ll probably use this new one as my main reference for mixing songs.

Back again

I recently had my birthday and key-moments like these always give me inspiration.
So here’s my new tune called 23. I used a new plug-in called M-Tron which is packed with sweet old & grimey samples, added with the marvelous Elektrik Piano for the piano melodies and a Battery-drum.

I like the sound of this beat so similar ones may follow.

Axiom Power!

Hello world

as promised before, here’s my heavy effects beat made with Ableton and my brand new Axiom 25. This one is called Axiom Powah. I mostly played around with it to see what it can do. Besides that I learned how to sequence with Operator, a built-in sequencer in Live.

The beat is called after my Axiom off course, milestones need relevant names imo. I used a new plugin for the basslines called Vanguard, a nice tool for making electro-like basses. I used a Live impulse for the bleepy sounds and stuff.
Battery for the drums offcourse, can’t make a drum without this great plugin. For the atmospheric sounds I tried Absynth 4.

The beat has many effects such as auto filters, delays and reverbs, I applied these all using the Axiom. I also used Ohm Boyz and CamelSpace to make it all sound very spacy.

The Future…

Hello again

back allready to post a new beat, I didn’t use my Axiom for this because I made it at home in the Spliff Studio.
This one is called Iron Future because I used a sample from an Iron Man movie.

I used an old drumloop combined with a simple NI Battery 3 drum, Ohm Boyz for the heavy reverbs and several Ableton audio effects on the samples. I can use several MIDI-controllers and instruments at the studio such as an M-audio TriggerFinger, an Edirol UR-80, a Yamaha Synth and a MicroKorg. Fun Fun Fun!

Toys for Producer Boyz

Hello everyone

this time not a beat but some info on my first piece of music production hardware.
I got myself an M-Audio Axiom 25, it’s a small MIDI-Controller but very powerfull for its kind.
I’ll be using it for playing drums and melodies but also for applying automatition on effects and stuff like that.

Beats coming soon, I’m allready working on a new one with lots of reverb and delay.

Still not enough Bass

Hi there fellas

Time again, for music called stillChillBass. This time I had some help from my brother, he played the Bass on his new bassguitar. Besides that, there are three combined drumloops added with some custom drums made in NI Battery. The melody was played with Edirol Hypercanvas.

It’s been a while so here I am with a new beat, this one is called Boom Bass Stik, it has a lot of bass.
I used Edirol Orchestral for all the piano sounds with a soft delay here and there, NI Battery 3 for the drums and a Live 6 bassloop tool for the basslines.

Hello there chaps,

time for a fresh beat, and here it is. I made this one very late at night, very… I’m posting this even later. So sorry if it doesn’t sound very good.

I used Batery 2 for the drums and some old drumloops to add to the Blunted! effect, CamelSpace and the trusted Ohm Boyz for the melody which is a heavy tuned harp sample and some random noises to finish it all up

Newyear Tune

Happy newyear everyone

Here I am with the first beat of the year called the 2007 Beat.

I composed all sounds myself for this one. I used Battery 3 for the drums, an Ableton Live 6 Instrument Rack for the hissing sound in the background. The base melody was played with the fabulous NI Electrik Piano and I used various instruments from both Edirol Orchestral and Edirol Hypercanvas to create a thicker sound towards the end.
